Module 1 Highlights

Congratulations on completing Module 1 where we laid a foundation for understanding autism. The following points are worth highlighting: 

• Autism is a spectrum of abilities and needs. It’s a different way of processing the world, not a disease or a limitation.
• Your child is unique. No two autistic children are the same.
• The level of support needed depends on the level of initial impairment. However, children who start with significant challenges can still go on to live a full and normal life, as long as they get the right therapy early.
• Earlier diagnosis and intervention lead to better outcomes.
• Your feelings are valid. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed, but there is also hope and a community ready to support you
